Swing Check Valve Cutaway, 2" - 2.5"

Model: 257

DAC Worldwide’s Check Valve Cutaway - Swing-Type (257) is an actual swing check valve training tool that has been carefully sectioned and color-coded to show the complete internal configuration and construction of this common industrial component. A swing check valve features a disc that is mounted within the valve that swings on a hinge or a shaft in order to allow for forward flow while blocking reverse flow. You can find these valves in applications such as the flapper valve in a flush toilet mechanism or industrially in wastewater pumping systems.

Learners can use this industrial cutaway to train in the operation, construction, and maintenance of a swing check valve. Since check valves require routine maintenance, this is a vital skill to learn. All seal features and hardware locations have been retained, allowing for “hands-on” training in maintenance.

  • Sectioning of actual hardware (2" - 2½" nominal size) (common valve makes and models chosen)
  • Cleaning, priming, and painting using a high-durability, urethane coating
  • Color-coding of valve body, internal surfaces, seat, and closure devices, using contrast colors
  • Replacement, plated hardware, where required
  • All seals and seats shown
  • Welded, formed-steel, mounting stand with provision for tabletop mounting
  • Provision for mounting on related bench, workstation, and storage rack products
