Shunt Wound DC Motor Cutaway

Model: 273-945

DAC Worldwide’s Shunt Wound DC Motor Cutaway (273-945) is one of a series of related sectioned industrial motors. This DC shunt-wound induction motor cutaway supports industrial training activities related to electric motor types, as well as repair and troubleshooting. A fractional horsepower, industrial-duty motor is modified for training purposes.

DC shunt-wound motors are encountered in automotive and industrial applications where precise control of speed and torque are required. They are commonly the motive force in lathes, grinders, pumps, lifts, fans, and compressors.

Shell and stator cutaways unveil the complete internal configuration of the motor, while showcasing key features such as stator windings, wiring connections, commutator, and rotor design.

The cutaway includes a formed-steel mounting bracket and baseplate, allowing for stand-alone display, bench-top mounting, or mounting on specialized DAC Worldwide mounting benches and support structures.

  • Sectioning of an actual fractional HP industrial electrical component (popular motor brands and models are chosen from well-known manufacturers for industrial relevance, including Leeson, Dayton, GE, Baldor, Marathon, WEG, Siemens, and others).
  • Careful sectioning of the full length of the device in multiple areas.
  • 7-gauge, formed-steel, powder-coated mounting bracket and baseplate.
  • Provision for mounting on related DAC Worldwide bench, workstation, and storage products.
  • Packaging for shipment via parcel service or courier.
