The sample board includes more than 90 common fasteners, including machine screws, cap screws, wood screws, sheet metal screws, bolts, nuts, locknuts, and washers. A variety of thread types/sizes (including metric), head types, and coatings are also featured. Users will learn how to identify fasteners visually using magnetic identification tags, as well as via measurements with included gauges.

To help learners identify fasteners visually, the sample board includes more than 100 engraved magnetic identification tags. To help learners with fastener measurement, American national and metric screw pitch and bolt and nut size gauges are also included.

The Mechanical Fasteners Sample Board’s courseware consists of an IPT Industrial Fasteners Manual. This manual can be used as part of either an instructor-led course or self-directed study. Learners will explore a wide variety of fundamental topics related to a wide variety of industrial fasteners.
