Level Measurement Training System Plus, Control Package

Model: 617-CTL

DAC Worldwide’s Level Measurement Training System Plus, Control Package (617-CTL) is a working, large-scale fluid process system that allows for hands-on principles related to basic hydrostatic training, as well as the installation, calibration, and maintenance of process field instruments using a column of water. The device, coupled with a comprehensive student manual, creates a complete, self-paced learning system that reflects realistic industrial and commercial applications.

This self-contained hydrostatic training system provides for complete, realistic courses in instrumentation control and calibration within an economical and space-saving package. Useful within industrial training programs or in an educational setting, the Level Measurement Training System Plus will help make this fundamental part of instrumentation maintenance training more memorable and effective.

The complete hydrostatic training package includes a Level Measurement Training System (617), Diaphragm Control Valve Assembly (617-047), PID Controller and I/P Converter Panel (600-066), Differential Pressure Switch Assembly (600-067), Differential Pressure Transmitter (600-056), and a 3-Valve Manifold (600-059).

Practice Hands-On Process Control Skills for Various Applications

The basic instrumentation training system workstation includes a 3-gallon, 36-inch clear acrylic tank, and a 15-gallon reservoir. The training system’s open architecture allows for installation of instrumentation of various designs from many manufacturers at multiple locations within the system and on the tank, using quick-connect fittings. With optional and/or user-supplied equipment, the device can be used for creation of basic process loops relating to level control, using a variety of measurement and control methods.

The hydrostatic training workstation utilizes a 14-gauge welded steel frame, with four casters. The front face panel was fabricated from aluminum sheets, and includes clear PVC piping and fittings throughout. It also includes a ¼ HP centrifugal pump with an inlet strainer, and GFI circuit protection. The 14-gauge support frame provides durability to stand up to frequent use, and to aide learners in becoming better prepared for the tasks they will encounter on the job.

Hands-On Exercises and Learning Activities Lead to Realistic Results

DAC Worldwide’s Level Measurement Training System Plus also features eight (8) hands-on exercises and learning activities that focus more on results and less on secondary academic background information. This comprehensive training system offers content in instrumentation principles, with individual learning activities provided in a self-paced or instructor-led format. The integrated course features multiple activities, all of which include background information on the topic, hands-on experiments, and related review questions.

Optional Student Training Manual Available to Enhance Learning

A copy of this course’s Student Training Manual is available with the training system. Sourced from the Exercises and Learning Activities, the Student Training Manual takes the technical content contained in the learning objectives, and combines it into one perfectly-bound book. If you would like to inquire about purchasing additional Student Training Manuals for your program, please contact your local DAC Worldwide Representative for more information.
