DAC Worldwide’s Centrifugal Moisture Separator Cutaway (274-201) is a sectioned industrial centrifugal-type moisture separator that allows for effective and convenient classroom training in the design, operating principles, and construction geometry of common industrial moisture separators. These devices are commonly used to remove liquid from a gas, air, or steam stream.

The cutaway is carefully-sectioned, exposing all primary features, including the integral trap, taps, inlet defusing geometry, and vortex containment plate. The complete geometry of this fundamental piece of equipment is exposed, facilitating a better understanding of its operating principles and purpose in industrial applications.

Often used within compressed air, compressed gas, and steam lines, the device protects expensive downstream equipment, such as steam turbines and compressors.
