Motorized control valves (MOVs) are regularly used in process systems of all kinds as a final control element. This economical, sectioned valve and actuator assembly unveils the complete working mechanism of a representative motorized valve, including, bi-directional motor, limit switches, and geartrain. Depicting a classic 1/4-turn-type actuator, this professionally-crafted teaching aid allows for convenient classroom training in the operation, construction, and maintenance of motor operated control valves. Though carefully-planned sectioning, the complete internal configuration of the valve and actuation is exposed and showcased. Seal features, hardware locations, and mechanical features have been retained, allowing for “hands-on” training in maintenance.
Sectioning of actual hardware (common valve and actuator makes and models chosen for industrial relevancy) (Threaded 3/4" - 1" NPS pipe size varieties are chosen).
