A heavy-duty, steel, benchtop training device which allows for realistic training in maintenance activities associated with large rotary kilns.

A segmented steel kiln shell, machined from schedule 80 pipe, allows for modification to simulate irregularities in shell construction commonly found in the field. A complete, motorized gear and pinion drive system is provided, allowing for establishment of proper mesh patterns. Adjustable kiln rollers and thrust rollers are included allowing for adjustments for alignment and tracking.

Through a variety of realistic feature, this device allows for realistic training in good maintenance practice prior to performing work in the field, without jeopardizing actual equipment.
7-Gauge, formed-steel baseplate, with provision for tabletop mounting.
Provision for attachment of magnetic base/dial indicator sets throughout.
Adjustable support feet.
Kiln tube, machined from schedule 80 steel pipe in three sections and allowing for adjustment of primary centerline using set screws.
Welded aluminum drive and roller assembly foundations.
Three roller assemblies including, detailed soldered brass substructures, adjustable roller pillow blocks, roller shafts and ball bearing rollers.
Nylon roller riding rings.
Representative kiln gear and pinion, with provision for adjustment and alignment.
