Precut shims dramatically reduce setup time and machine downtime by eliminating the need to hand cut, flatten and
deburr custom shims, from raw stock. Pre-cut shims have become a standard, ” tool of the trade”, for maintenance
professionals. This standard, economical shim kit has been chosen as a standard accessory for DAC training
products related to precision shaft alignment.
This Standard Shim Kit includes 10 shims each, of 13 different thicknesses, each accurate within +/- .001", and often due to the range of thickness eliminate the need to stack large numbers of shims to achieve required total adjustment. Made of durable, corrosion-resistant, 304 stainless steel and permanently marked with both nominal thickness and actual thickness information, the kit is perfect for use in the training lab or by the working maintenance professional in the field. This kit is provided with a heavy-duty steel storage case for storage and organization of shims.
Primarily used to precisely adjust machinery in vertical plane when aligning a driver to a driven piece of machinery,
these shims can also be used to create height and angular alignment adjustments when performing vertical alignment as well.
All shims measure 2" x 2" x 5/8", and accommodate NEMA motor frame numbers: 42, 48, 56, 143, 145, 162-169,182-189, 213-219, 1610, 1810 and 2110.

Each shim is clearly and permanently marked with nominal thickness and measured size information, eliminating the need for hand-measuring of thicker shims.
