This sectioned, commercial, hand-operated vane-type positive displacement pump allows for convenient classroom
training in the design, operation, construction and maintenance of this common process pump used in industrial,
commercial, and agricultural applications for pumping liquids by hand. Sometimes referred to as simply a vain pump,
these specialized manual pumps are used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications such as, transfer of
fuels, and alcohols, as well as in a variety of petro-chemical and oil & gas processing applications.
Carefully planned cut away areas and a strategically placed acrylic viewing window combine to showcase the internal
configuration of the pump. Seal features, spring-loaded hardware locations and bearings are retained, allowing for use
in maintenance-related training. This realistic demonstrator will make introductory courses in pump maintenance and
operation more productive, realistic and memorable.
Sectioning of an actual manual vane-type positive displacement pump (manufacturers such as Viking, Corken, Blackmer, and Forster are chosen for industrial relevancy).
Cleaning, priming and painting using a high-durability urethane coating.
Replacement plated hardware, where needed.
All gaskets, seals and bearings visible.
13-Gauge, formed-steel, powder-coated baseplate, with provision for tabletop mounting or mounting on related DAC workstation and display products.
