This unique and challenging PLC application allows the student to create the programming needed to automate an active electro-mechanical system. The product can be used with DAC PLC training systems or PLC systems manufactured by others.

The training aid is self-contained and includes a stylized working system, as well as all applicable input and output devices for operation. Connections to a related PLC trainer are made using banana-jack patch-cord connections.

The system consists of multiple linear motions driven by stepper motors and rack/pinion motions which, through their actions, push a steel ball around a fixed circuit/track. A rotary solenoid actuator and a linear-acting solenoid as well as multiple limit switches are included to further automate the system. The finished system can be fine- tuned, or troubleshooting activities can be inserted, through mechanical adjustments, devices mounted on the front panel face.

The 19in. panel mounts on standard 19in. rack systems, or on related DAC support structures.
