This sectioned full-size valve sample allows for effective classroom training in the operation, construction, and maintenance of a pneumatically-operated gate-type surface safety valve, as used in oil & gas production operations and commonly found on wellhead assemblies, production manifolds and in pipeline applications. A key component in ESD systems, these safety-related wellhead components ensure system shutdown in emergency circumstances.

Through carefully-planned sectioning and color-coding, the complete internal configuration of this specialty valve is exposed and showcased. Seal features and hardware locations have been retained, allowing for “hands-on” training in disassembly and maintenance.
Sectioning of an actual 1-13/16" nominal diameter, 2000 lb., fail-closed, diaphragm-actuated, SSV providing a complete view of the flow channel, actuator assembly, closure gate and seat (common SSV brands and models are chosen, according to API 6A, for oil & gas training and relevancy).
Cleaning, priming, and painting using a high-durability, urethane coating.
Color-coding of valve body, internal surfaces, seat, and closure devices, using contrast colors.
Replacement, plated hardware, where necessary.
All gaskets, seals, and seats shown.
Structural steel, welded, heavy-gauge, mounting base weldment with provision for tabletop mounting and mounting on related support and the display assemblies.
Crating for shipment via motor freight.
