A fundamental component part of an extensive range of precision measurement and basic bench skills activity kits, this package of tapping and threading tools and raw materials allows for gradual exploration and experience in the fundamental shop practice of hand tapping and threading as often performed in industry.

This clearly laid-out package of key thread-forming tools, coupled with CNC-machined activity work samples, allows the student to experience a range of hand tapping challenges often encountered in the maintenance or machine shop. Tapping activities incorporate the use of multi-flute and spiral types as well as full tap sets. Both fine thread and course-threat examples are included, as well as common ANSI and metric examples.

The package includes both a pre-drilled test piece as well as a precision-machined manual Tapping Guide Disk. With multiple activity kits in use, these items are the manufactured final product of other activity kits.
Durable, foam-lined, hinged, clear plastic storage case, 8-1/2" X 11-1/2" X 2" H.
Precision machined and pre-pilot drilled rectangular aluminum work sample allowing for hand tapping at 23 positions. Through-tap, blind tapping, extraction and screw extraction tests are facilitated. Pre-machined for convenient mounting in a benchtop vice.
Machined aluminum rod samples allowing for hand threading using hand dies and a die holder.
Machined steel, Hand Tapping Guide Disk with clearance holes for a variety of ANSI and metric thread sizes.
Extensive tool selection including 12 hand taps, 4 threading dies, tap handle, die holder, tap extractor, screw extraction set, and tap drill chart.
3-piece external thread sample set, including ANSI fine, coarse, and acme thread samples.
